This introductory class will provide an introduction to the art of cooking. Participants will explore healthy eating habits, learn basic cooking skills and prepare a simple meal  with Chef Tom Houle!

This series is designed to pair experienced gardeners and cooks with younger people and less experienced gardens. Gardeners will grow for themselves and for the Community.  In addition everyone learns and has lots of fun!  Events include a cooking series, and a planting and growing series. We plan on some great Farm to Fork dinners too, and already have commitments for produce and some big name chefs coming in, as well as yet to be discovered celebrity chefs. If you would like your child to participate please complete the below permission form and have your child return it to Ms. Rita.

Classes will provide a fun and friendly way for students to experience the basics of Jazz, Contemporary, and Hip Hop styles. Students will also learn a short routine with the option of participating in the Extended Learning Program’s Got Talent Night in June!

QuickStart tennis is the newest rage sweeping the junior tennis world! This program allows younger children to play tennis using a smaller court, softer balls and other specialized equipment.  Kids are extremely engaged and they learn skills that can be applied to more advanced techniques as they improve.  The MLTC has been offering high-level tennis instruction in Acton for over 16 years and the program was one of the first in the area to offer QuickStart methods. Student's should wear sneakers and dress comfortably. Rackets provided.

The Lego League is focused on building an interest in science and engineering in children ages 6 - 9. Junior FIRST® LEGO® League (Jr.FLL®) is a hands-on program designed to capture young children's curiosity and direct it toward discovering how science and technology impact the world around them. This program features a real-world challenge, to be explored through research, critical thinking and imagination. Guided by adult coaches and the Jr.FLL Core Values team members work with LEGO elements and motorized parts to build ideas and concepts and present them.
