Through hands-on activities and STEM challenges, children will think, construct, experiment, discover, and develop the desire to learn more. The children will explore the use of different learning tools that enable and emphasize STEM learning. Participants will learn something new and experience a different kind of fun in each class.. Learning is best when kids are having fun! STEM is Fun! Classes are conducted one hour per week for six weeks. NOTE: Now open to 3rd grade students!

Community Symbol.pngCOMMUNITY GARDENING/COOKING SERIES OPEN!
This series is designed to pair experienced gardeners and cooks with younger people and less experienced gardens. Gardeners will grow for themselves and for the Community.  In addition everyone learns and has lots of fun!  Events include a cooking series, and a planting and growing series. We plan on some great Farm to Fork dinners too, and already have commitments for produce and some big name chefs coming in, as well as yet to be discovered celebrity chefs. If you would like your child to participate please complete the below permission form and have your child return it to Ms. Rita. All are welcome! Kids and adults! Thanks to Harvard Community Health Foundation for their support. Please note all participants will be transported to the Lancaster Council On Aging via the Council On Aging's mini van and must be picked up at the Council On Aging at 5:30pm. The Council On Aging's address is 39 Harvard Road, Lancaster, Ma. Their phone number is (978) 733 - 1249. This class will run the third Monday of each month.

Classes will provide a fun and friendly way for students to experience the basics of Jazz, Contemporary, and Hip Hop styles. Students will also learn a short routine with the option of participating in the Extended Learning Program’s Got Talent Night in May!

People Holding Hands Around The World.png‚ÄčBEGINNER SPANISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS GRADES K - 2
This is an introductory course designed for children in grades K - 1 that covers basics: counting, colors, greetings and good-byes, snack vocabulary, body parts, active verbs, and a few questions. Songs reinforce vocabulary and encourage learning through movement. Handouts provide review and opportunity for self-expression. Roll-call phrases follow the "It's time to... “series, using expressions parents and children con use at home together.
Phrases: "What color is missing? I can count to 50! What's your name? What's that? It's time to eat, time to set the table, go to school, do your homework, and brush your teeth. These are just a few of the expressions children learn as they sing, and play their way through this introductory course.
