Dear Parents and Community Members:

The No Child Left Behind Act, the newly reauthorized Elementary and Secondary Education Act, requires annual report cards to be disseminated each school year. Critical information with regard to states, districts, and individual schools will now be compiled and offered to every parent. As with the grade report cards that have been sent home for generations, these new reports are designed to keep parents, and the public, informed as to the progress of our schools and to ensure that our schools are held accountable for improving the academic achievement of every student.

School and district report cards will be published on the Nashoba Regional School District website and copies will be available in each school and the town libraries. Copies will also be included in each school's newsletter. These report cards are only one method of communicating with the public. We will continue to share information regarding school programs through the newspapers, at School Council and parent-teacher meetings, and at School Committee meetings. We are proud of the wonderful work accomplished by our staff and will continue to provide programs and services to maintain academic excellence for all the students in the Nashoba Regional School District.

If you have any questions regarding the data included on these report cards, contact George King, Assistant Superintendent, at the Central Office

Yours truly,

Michael L. Wood
Superintendent
