On Thursday, June 12th, instead of heading home after a long day, MRE's Principal, Mr. Blanchard, climbed up to the school roof and pitched a small tent. Why? Because the students at MRE had completed a year-long challenge filled with acts of kindness and fundraising efforts.
Throughout the school year, students were encouraged to complete small acts of kindness, whether at school, at home, or out in the community. With the support of the MRE student community and the PTO, they not only met their goal of increasing kindness across the school and town community, they also met their ambitious goal of raising $20,000.
The reward? Principal Blanchard spent the night under the stars, honoring their promise to celebrate the students' success in a big way! To learn more about their acts of kindness and this fundraising initiative, check out the Telegram & Gazette's article!
