Wingmasters flew in last week to meet MRE's second graders! The program is designed to explain predation, the birds' place at the top of the food web, their different hunting adaptations and their status in a rapidly changing world. Because many birds of prey are declining in number, this presentation also features one or more of the endangered raptors that they care for, and explains why these species face an uncertain future.


The Plimoth Patuxet Museum visited MRE's third grade classrooms. Students learned about life in the 1600s, the early Plymouth Colony, and the Wampanoag people.

Last month MRE hosted their Annual Literacy Night. The night included fun arts & crafts and literacy games, along with a PTO-sponsored book fair!


Students in the MRE Extended Learning Program celebrated the first day of spring with a colorful bulletin board.


Fifth grade students at MRE engaged in a hands-on game of Tic-Frac-Toe to support their work in learning multiplication of fractions.

The new husky mascot finally made his way to MRE! He was so excited to be part of the school community that he popped into a first grade class to say hello.


MRE students and staff honored members of the Lancaster community to thank them for their public service during last week's Husky Assembly which highlighted community.


Students and staff in MRE's Friends II program spent some time off of the ground this week during PE!


MRE hosted their Annual Community Reader Day! Superintendent Downing, Assistant Superintendent Friend, along with principals, deans, retired teachers, high school students, and community readers all joined in with a book.


MRE first and second grade students participated in a STEAM Team Challenge as they worked together to build towers!
