First graders and fourth graders at MRE paired up for an exciting STEM Challenge! Given pipe cleaners, scissors and masking tape the students needed to create a tall, freestanding structure that would hold one marshmallow on top.

Some MRE buses are slightly delayed. Busses arrived at MRE at:
15 & 17 at 3:04. 16 at 3:06, 19 & 18 at 3:10 and Bus 5 at 3:14.
Last week, our district had the privilege of welcoming Kimberly Croteau, a distinguished Literacy Advisor from Wilson Language Training. Ms. Croteau, along with our district's literacy coaches, elementary school principals, Curriculum Director Laura Pagington, and Assistant Superintendent Laura Friend, spent time visiting first and second-grade classrooms!

Bus 20 departed MRE at 3:39. The route is approximately 20 minutes behind schedule.
Bus 20 is leaving MRE now to begin its afternoon route.
Bus 20 is still at MRE at this time. A mechanic is enroute with a new wiper for the bus!

Bus 16 and Bus 19 are pulling out of MRE now.

Bus 17 just left MRE on its afternoon route.

Bus 15 just left MRE on its afternoon route. Bus 17, 19, and 20 are currently loading.
Dee Bus reports to MRE that the vast majority of buses will be running at least 15 minutes behind schedule.
At 3:10, Bus 15 is the only bus that has arrived at MRE and they are currently loading students and will be on the way shortly.
IMPORTANT UPDATE - TUESDAY, JANUARY 16th: After careful consideration, all afternoon and evening activities, including extended day programs, have been closed. School will dismiss at its usual hours. Due to the anticipated weather conditions, there is a possibility of delays in bus routes. Principals will be in direct communication with families to provide updates on any bus delays. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Due to inclement weather, all after school activities are cancelled for this afternoon. This includes the extended day program. We will have our regular school dismissal at 3:05.
