The Athletic Department hosted a ceremony on Thursday, to celebrate and recognize our senior student-athletes who will be continuing both their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.

Center School's Dr. Elias and Principal Coppinger presented on future learning focused around Digital Literacy and Computer Science (DLCS) during the Future Ready Elementary DLCS Labs for Younger Learners Summit last week!

Last month we shared that the Art teachers in Stow, Lancaster and Bolton held a district-wide Kindergarten through 8th grade art show during the month of April at the Bolton Library. The art opening and month long gallery were a huge success. Families, friends, Nashoba staff, and administrators, gathered to support and celebrate the proud student artists and their art!

Second grade MRE students learned about pollinators in their EL unit, and then they used the engineering process to make a pollinator and test out its ability to spread pollen from one flower to the next!

Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and Workers Credit Union hosted field trips for our Innovation Pathways students this month. WPI showcased their makers space on a tour of the school, while Workers Credit Union had members of the Finance, IT, Marketing, and HR departments speak with students.

FSS first grade students researched birds during a recent EL unit, they used their research to produce a riddle, an opinion piece, and a scientific drawing that their shared with their friends and families!

Earlier in May , MRE staff enjoyed acknowledging May the Fourth, or, May the Force Be With You Day, at school!

LBMS Drama's performance of Alice in Wonderland Jr. finished off our drama productions for the year. Bravo to all of the students who worked hard to bring the show to life!

Center School's Ms. Naomi Cohen presented at the 2026 MMEA All State Conference. Her session "A Letter and a Letter on a String: Accommodations for Language Based Learning Disabilities in the Elementary Music Classroom" was well attended and inspired thought-provoking questions from the teachers in the audience. Last week marked Ryan Mitrou's last School Committee meeting prior to graduation. Ryan has served as a School Committee Student Representative for the last two years. Thank you for your time and dedication, Ryan!

Selected seventh, eighth, and ninth grade Nashoba students played with the CDMMEA Jr District Festival Band, Chorus, and Orchestra this past weekend!

Cara Bean, cartoonist, art educator, and the author of Here I Am, I Am Me: An Illustrated Guide to Mental Health came to the library at the high school. Ms. Bean emphasized the therapeutic benefits of drawing, helping participants to relax, focus, and express themselves through drawing and comics. She provided practical techniques and exercises to develop drawing skills and boost creativity.

Lancaster hosted a takeover day at the WooSox game during April break! Smiley, the WooSox mascot, stopped by MRE to kick-off the event and was greeted by students, staff and Oreo, the MRE Husky!

Before April break, MRE hosted their Annual Literacy Night. The night included fun arts & crafts, literacy games, teacher read alouds, along with a PTO-sponsored book fair!
