Nashoba 7th-9th graders were selected by audition to perform with the CDMMEA Jr. District Festival Band, Chorus, and Orchestra. Under the direction of Brianne Biastoff, Elijah Langille, and Allison Lacasse, students prepared challenging repertoire with top-performing musicians from around the state, and had the opportunity to learn from conductors who are leaders in their field. These elite ensembles had their final performance last Saturday, May 2nd, and the audience was blown away!
At the Jr. District Festival, Florence Sawyer's Mr. Caleb Rawlinson was presented with the CDMMEA New Music Educator of the Year Award. Principal Joel Bates was there to celebrate Mr. Rawlinson as quotes from Caleb's nominations were read aloud and he was presented with a plaque.
